Still very much in a no man's land right now given: Definitely had some positive surprises! My use case is developing toolboxes and using the Pro and Enterprise SDKs though have not used Pro itself for much analysis or cartography. I have a M1 MBA and have been running ArcGIS Pro in Parallels 16. I don't have access to the laptop for much longer, so I cant say for certain that every feature works, but this is good news for people like me who do GIS and also love macs.ĮSRI has a performance assessment tool that folks have been running on M1 Macs and reporting back to the forums. its definitely very useable!Ī 2km buffer of the manitoba road network read from the living atlas (1546 features) took about 17 seconds from start to finishĪn IDW interpolation of US weather station data for the continental US, about 9300 features took about 13 seconds to run the display is a little choppy, but that can just be chalked up to it being a VM. I can confirm that it works pretty well! I have not run into any immediate sources of error, and to be honest it runs better than many of the workstations I have used in my previous jobs. I heard the 圆4 emulation in windows on ARM was pretty decent, so I installed the windows 10 on ARM technical preview in a VM in parallels desktop, and installed ArcGIS Pro. I had a chance to play around with one of the new m1 macbooks with the apple silicon processor, so i figured I would try the latest version of parallels desktop.
